Venture capital firms aren’t too peachy on Georgia technology companies.
A lack of entrepreneurial talent, deal flow awareness and geographic distance are top reasons venture firms say they shy away from investing in Georgia, according to a Technology Association of Georgia survey that was scheduled to be released Feb. 5.
The 2008 poll of 156 firms in 24 states and the United Kingdom was aimed at gauging VC perceptions of Georgia and comparing venture activity in the state with others. The study’s results were first publicly reported on AtlanTech , Atlanta Business Chronicle’s technology blog.
